Tour Description
Travel to the Famous Daintree Rainforest & Cape Tribulation in small group comfort. Our Specially designed vehicles carry a maximum of 9 passengers - offering unrivalled personalised service.
Our tour starts by heading north along the Captain Cook Highway, past the northern beach suburbs of Cairns and toward Port Douglas, stopping at the Rex Lookout for views over the beach and mountains.
Beyond Port Douglas, we arrive at the Daintree River and cross over by cable ferry. Here we begin the slow, winding and picturesque road toward Cape Tribulation. A stop at the Alexandra Lookout reflects back over the coastal road south (just travelled) and views over the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island and Low Isles (off shore from Port Douglas).
Continuing north, you’ll see the wonders of the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park before stopping at Thornton Beach for morning tea. We then continue to Cape Tribulation itself (where two World Heritage areas meet – the Rainforest of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef). Here, you’ll have the opportunity to walk the beach or track to ‘Kulki’ lookout.
Venturing south back across the Daintree River, we stop for lunch at the delightful Daintree Tea House for a delicious lunch in a setting unlike any other. The Tea House really is a true find and popular with the locals.
After lunch, we’ll join our small and personalised tour on the Daintree River itself to spot crocodiles and other wildlife native to the area.
Our next stop is Mossman Gorge, the southern edge of the Daintree World Heritage area. Take a walk in the dense rainforest for views over the granite boulders and crystal clear waters of the Mossman River.
Our journey home gives you time to relax and reflect on your day before we drop you back at your accommodation for a good night’s sleep!
